Maruti Suzuki XL6's India launch is
scheduled for 21 August.

The vehicle will join Indian automaker's line-up as the sportier and premium MPV based on the Ertiga.

The XL6 will be retailed through the NEXA dealerships and can be booked via NEXA website or NEXA app.

Now, admittedly, Maruti Suzuki XL6 has been teased by the company a bunch of times, giving us a look at the front grille, headlamps, interior, and even the seating layout.

But in the run up to the launch the company has revealed a few new details about the MPV.

For starters, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be sold in only two trim levels-- Zeta and the top-end trim Alpha.

For reference, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is retailed through th Arena set of dealerships and is available in four trims.

Besides this, the XL6 will be available in six colour options whereas Ertiga gets five colour schemes.

Buyers can get their XL6 in following colour options--Nexa Blue, Pearl arctic White, Metallic Premium Silver, Prime Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, and Pearl Brave Khakhi.

And as reported before, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be available with a petrol engine only, that too borrowed from the Ertiga.

It is a BS VI-compliant K15 petrol engine with integrated Smart Hybrid technology.

It will put out 103 bhp, 138 Nm, and will be offered in combination with a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 is essentially the six-seater avatar of the Maruti Ertiga MPV and gets captain seats at the second row instead of a bench.

The MPV sports an all-black cabin along with black leather upholstery.

Furthermore, the XL6's dashboard layout will be the same as that inside the Ertiga.

However, it will be decked in all-black theme with silver and faux wood accent running across the dashboard.

The XL6 is underpinned by the HEARTECT platform and gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, high speed warning alert, and driver/co-driver seat belt reminder as standard.

Besides these, the XL6 will also get electronic stability program and hill-hold assist as standard.
